Blissful Ruby Bay

We just spent another relaxing weekend at Ruby Bay. Again it was packed with hundreds of campers enjoying a three day weekend. Fortunately we managed to squeeze into a spot (the last one) amongst tents, wicked campers, caravans and buses. Normally, we would've preferred a less populated place to stay, but we wanted to spend time in our rig, close to home. Although there were lots of people, it was interesting watching everyone go about their holiday activities.
Saturday was a scorcher! And we spent the evening wallowing in sea, which was just like bath water. In the morning, when it was cooler, we enjoyed a beach walk. Then in the afternoon, we found a bush walk, which wound around McKee Domain.
Bernie met a friend from Westport, Grant Lunn, who was also staying for the weekend with his wife, in their bus.He was looking for a pair of buoys in the bay where he had dropped his set net. He was telling us about the usefulness of using drones to send out fishing lines. This got Bernie and I excited as he could use a drone for fishing and I could also use it for photography. So we headed back to the rig eager to google 'drones'.
It was encouraging having a few days away with everything working well. The truck started as it should and we unhitched, hitched up and set up without any difficulty.
Before we head off next, we'll make an enclosure to put around the rig for the dogs. We've been discussing a few options and have decided to use shade cloth to encircle the rig and support it with tent pegs and stakes. We both really missed the dogs while away this weekend and we're determined to get organised so they can always come with us.
