While staying in Amberley an elderly couple
drove into the reserve towing their caravan with a 4WD. Watching the driver maneuver
the van it was apparent he was competent and confident at handling it.
But what
impressed me more was after he'd set up the caravan - he carefully helped his
wife from the vehicle and supported her to a camp chair. Then he placed her
wheel chair beside her. Then they sat together in the sun chatting. Apparently (so another camper told me) the hubby does everything for his wife after she became unwell.
They were obviously
enjoying each other’s company judging from their laughter.
