Ashburton Domain

Within walking distance from Ashburton's township is the Ashburton Domain. It's a 37 hectare area of lawns, gardens, huge mature trees, and large spaces for a wide range of sports.

Relaxed ducks enjoying an afternoon nap.

One little bird was out practising his flying skills but I think he may need to wait a few more wings for his wings to develop more.

The ducks were dry tame, even those that had their young ones with them didn't rush off as I walked by.

The purple irises growing beside the water gave great reflections, there was barely a breeze but just enough to cause a small ripple.

A seagull coming into land.

Cute little face.

Beautiful and green.

This giant clematis was twisting it's way up a tree.
